Another exciting Group winning filly for Nathaniel

Nathaniel's first-crop daughter God Given won her third race on the trot and second Stakes race when landing the Gr.3 Prix Minerve at Deauville on Sunday 13th August.

This highly progressive three-year-old filly made all and won comfortably for trainer Luca Cumani and owners St Albans Bloodstock Ltd. A half-sister to three time Gr.1 winner Postponed, God Given won the Listed Betbright Aphrodite Stakes at Newmarket last time out, following her Maiden win at Haydock in June.

Trainer Luca Cumani said: "She's a filly I have always liked and we have now managed to work our way up and win a Gr.3.  A bit like her half-brother she should get better with time.  She doesn't need soft ground and at home she is a beautifully-actioned filly.

"The big target has always been the Fillies' and Mares' race on Champions Day and she'll need another run in between, so we could possibly come back to France for the Prix Vermeille at Chantilly."

Homebred by St Albans Bloodstock, God Given is the fourth foal out of Ever Rigg, a winning Dubai Destination mare whose dam is the Gr.1 Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Bianca Nera, from the further family of Stakes winners Bondi Beach and Gale Force Ten.

The Newsells Park Stud second-season sire, Nathaniel, is enjoying an excellent year with his three-year-olds with 10 Group/Stakes horses, led by the outstanding dual Oaks winner Enable.
