First-season sire Nathaniel produced another smart winner, with Ronald R winning the hotly contested Bazuka British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes in impressive style at Yarmouth on Wednesday 13th July.
Despite running green he forged ahead in the final 100yds to win stylishly, and looks an exciting prospect for trainer Michael Bell and owners WJ and TCO Gredley.
This two-year-old colt was just denied victory in a warm maiden at Newbury in June, and jockey Jamie Spencer said: "Ronald R has improved from his debut at Newbury and finished off his race well. He would be even better suited by a mile."
It was the second winner by Nathaniel this week, following Paulownia comfortably landing the Kelly Group Maiden Auction Stakes at Ascot last Saturday.
Bred by M Morrissey, Ronald R is out of the Gr.3 placed Amazon Beauty (Wolfhound), a half-sister to US Stakes winner and Gr.1 Prix Saint-Alary runner up Asti and the Stakes placed Peter Anders.
