Stud Fees remain the same for 2015

Newsells Park Stud has announced unchanged stud fees for their dual Group 1 winners, Equiano, Mount Nelson and Nathaniel in 2015.

Equiano, the dual winner of the Gr.1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot remains at £8,000 (Oct 1st SLF), Mount Nelson, (sire of this year’s Gr.2 Royal Lodge winner, Berkshire), stays at £6,000 (Oct 1st SLF) while Nathaniel’s fee for 2014 also remains unchanged at £20,000 (Oct 1st SLF).

Commenting on the status quo for 2015, Newsells’ General Manager, Julian Dollar said, “We are very grateful to our clients who continue to give our three stallions great support and hopefully they will feel rewarded as both Equiano and especially Mount Nelson have had great years with their progeny on the racecourse.  However all our stallions have to offer breeders a commercial return, so we felt leaving their fees unaltered, with ‘Special Live Foal’ payment terms and no ‘Grooms fees’ or ‘Walking-in fees’ was ultimately the right balance.”

“Equiano has made a very promising start to his career with three Group winners and performers already, including Dark Reckoning, Strath Burn and Lola Beaux.  He has been getting plenty of winners, and as one would expect from a horse that was at his best at three & five-years-old, his runners look like they are improving with time and showing encouraging signs for their Classic year.”

“Mount Nelson has had a fantastic year and remains a seriously underrated stallion, with 5 Group or Stakes winners this season, (including Berkshire, Purr Along & Volume) and 10 Group winners/performers in all.  He has nearly 10% black type winners to runners, while he continues to prove a good two-year-old sire with two highly promising Group performers again in 2014. We think he’s terrific value at £6,000.

“Finally, Nathaniel covered another great book of 148 mares in his second season, helped once again by the support of an incredible syndicate of some of the World’s best breeders.  More importantly his foals really look the part.  When you add these factors to a great looking son of Galileo with an unbelievable pedigree and a brilliant race record, he too looks good value among his peers.”
